Cat Kennel

Cats can be difficult to get from place to place. They aren’t easily leashed trained and cannot be commanded to follow their owner’s every step. Although cats don’t travel for much more than a trip to the groomers or their annual vet appointment a kennel is still needed.

Most veterinarians will not allow a cat into their facility if it is not in a cat kennel. This is to protect everyone’s safety. A cat that is merely being held can jump out of the owner’s arms at the slightest spook- and there are plenty of those in the vet’s office. Also if an aggressive dog came into the office, insanity could ensue.

Cats don’t need a large kennel. Like dogs, if their kennels are too big they will defecate. Felines are especially hygienic and will avoid soiling a place that they have to sit in. Some cats don’t handle travel well, pet stores do sell calming aids that may help kitty relax.
